Call for Paper

Would you like to submit a lecture or tutorial/workshop?

 

This conference provides the following different submission-alternatives:

Practical Track - SUbmission

(Lecture, Expert-Talk or Workshop)

The practical track solicits user oriented applications in the area of software quality which will be reviewed by industry domain experts. This papers will be self-published.

The length of the submission shall be 1-2 pages.
 

Scientific Track - Submission 

(Lecture)

The scientific track solicits high quality technical research papers and industrial experience papers, which will be rigorously peer-reviewed for publication in the well known research publication series Springer lecture notes LNBIP.

The length of the submission shall be 10-15 pages for short-papers and 20-25 pages for full-papers.

The submission has to include evience for the scientfic background.

Submissions that are practically applicable or evaluated in pratice will be preferred.

Benefits of being a lecturer

  • Free attendance at both days of the conference for the first speaker of a presentation.
  • Free attendance at both days of the conference for speakers from customer organisations.
  • Additional scientific-speakers and speakers from consulting or vendor organisations will be able to attend the conference at a preferential rate (early-bird partner price - see conference-fee-flyer in the download-area) in this case.
  • The 3 best rated speakers (excluding keynote speakers) in the practical tracks and in the scientific track will obtain a free ticket for the next software quality days conference.
    Anotation: Attendance at workshops/tutorials is normally charged even if you are a contributor.
  • Free invitation to dinner on the evening before the conferene.
  • Travel cost subsidy for the first lecturer in a practical track:
    - Vienna and surrounding area (up to 50 km): 0,-
    - A (excluded Vienna and surrounding area, Tirol and Vorarlberg): EUR 100,-
    - Germany, Switzerland, Tirol+Voralberg, Czech Republic,Slowakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Southtirol: EUR 250,-
    - Other regions in Europe: EUR 400,-
    - Outside of Europe: EUR 800,-
    All values include VAT. Payment is conducted when a corresponding invoice is sent and approved by the conference organizer. To get the travel cost subsidy, you have to announce this with your submission!
    Travel cost subsidy cannot be granted and changed anymore after acceptance of a submission.

Tips for lecturers

  • Practical presentations with a co-lecturer from a customer organisation will be preferred.
  • The evidence of scientific work ist necessary for scientific presentations
  • Lecturers will be preferred, that didn't speak at the previous Software Quality Days
  • Presentations of tool-vendors and suppliers will be refused, if the own tool or parts of the tool shall be mentioned
  • Focussed methodology-presentations, special topics or scientific papers will be preferred

Submission conditions

There is no guarantee that your submission will be accepted. The submission may be rejected without indicating the reasons.

Upon submitting your presentation, you agree to the continuous publication of your submission on the event website and within the electronic and printed conference documents, as well as in a volume of compiled conference presentations. You retain all other rights to your presentation.
