Measuring complexity of SaaS: general approach and specific metrics

In this hands-on workshop we will practice diverse ways to measure and manage complexity in a cloud-based software.

Complexity is relative, it is perceived differently by stakeholders, it is contextual, but still there are some common practices that will help us to understand its nature, quantify it, measure it, and use findings to improve the software.

Here are the key themes of the workshop:

- failing once again to define what complexity is

- good complexity vs. bad complexity

- how complexity is perceived by different stakeholders

- examples of specific complexity indicators

- complexity measurement algorithm

This workshop will logically follow the questions discussed on the Aleksey's workshop last year, so last year's attendees are welcome.

Nutzen für den Teilnehmer:
In the end of workshop the attendees will be equipped with few ready-to-use complexity metrics as well as proved algorithm to find complexity indicators tailor-made for their SaaS.

Behandelte Problemstellungen:
Quantifying and measuring complexity of SaaS

Finding indicators to detect and fight complexity

Understanding complexity as it is perceived by different stakeholders
