Test mobs and bug hunts in practice

Many organizations struggle how to involve users in (acceptance) testing. Making detailed scripts and expect the users to execute the scripts doesn't work, not involving them is also not a good idea. In this interactive workshop you will learn what test mobs and bug hunts are and practice it. Beside the theory your will do an actual test mob or a bug hunt. You will prepare the session, execute it and make a test report. We will evaluate the case; what went well, what went wrong, what did you learn? We will also make a checklist with do’s and don’ts. I will also share my experience with test mobs and bug hunts. In this workshop you will not only leans about test mobs and bug hunts, you will also experience it.
Value for the audience: The attendees will have new, good tools to organize acceptance testing, involve users and enhance communication between developers and users. And it will be highly interactive; the attendees will do a test mob or bug hunt and we will share experience. This experience makes it much easier to use this in practice!
Problems addressed: Now to involve users in (acceptance) testing.

I can do the session also as a 45 minute presentation, but then you miss the practical experience.

Behandelte Problemstellungen:
Now to involve users in (acceptance) testing

Users testing by themselves has much disadvantages. They don't come to an agreement, they sometimes misunderstand things and they don't come to mutual decisions. Test mobs and bug hunts help overcome these problems.

With test mobs and bug hunts you can stimulate the communication between developers and users.
